Bougainville recently welcomed the New Zealand Police Commissioner, Richard Chambers, on his first official visit to the region this month.

Commissioner Chambers and his delegation, including RPNGC Deputy Police Commissioner Specialist Operations Donald Yamasombi and Assistant Commissioner Policy & Planning Rigga Negie, were welcomed with a parade by the Bougainville Police Service.

Commissioner Chambers thanked the Chief of the Bougainville Police Service and officers for the warm welcome and acknowledged the strong partnership and cooperation between Bougainville Police, the RPNGC and New Zealand Police.
