Young Papua New Guineans have been introduced to education, skills training, scholarships and professional development opportunities at the NCD Youth Expo 2026.

Pacific Australia Skills and Australia Awards PNG showcased pathways designed to help young people build careers and contribute to Papua New Guinea’s future development.

The Expo, themed “Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future,” highlighted opportunities in technical and vocational education and training, international scholarships and professional development.

NCD youth participant Henry Mekere said access to information about these opportunities would help young people plan their education and career pathways.

Through Pacific Australia Skills and Australia Awards PNG, Australia says it is continuing to support the development of a skilled and inclusive workforce and invest in Papua New Guinea’s next generation of leaders.
