The incumbent President of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Ishmael Toroama has retained the Bougainville Presidency seat after surpassing the absolute majority.

This was announced at around 4:20pm this Friday afternoon, 26th September 2025. 

Following the completion of the quality check, Toroama secured a commanding total of 90,443 votes, well above the absolute majority of 69,629.

This declaration confirms President Toroama’s mandate to continue leading Bougainville over the next five years through its political transition.
