Theodist Limited has renewed its sponsorship of the MBB Marlins rugby union team for a third consecutive season, reinforcing its support for community sport and rugby union development in Papua New Guinea.
The partnership, which began in 2024, has seen Theodist back the Marlins in their efforts to promote rugby union while strengthening community engagement through sport in the National Capital District.
Theodist Limited Corporate Development Manager Ryan Pini said the continued sponsorship reflects the company’s commitment to organizations that embody teamwork, discipline, and dedication.
“The Marlins represent the values we believe in at Theodist – commitment, teamwork, and perseverance.”
“Over the past two seasons, the team has shown great determination both on and off the field, and we are proud to continue supporting their journey.”
Theodist Chief Executive Officer Kumar Baliah said the renewal aligns with the company’s long-standing history of supporting organizations across the country.
“For more than 50 years, Theodist has remained committed to supporting organizations across Papua New Guinea, and partnerships such as this allow us to contribute to initiatives that bring communities together.”
“Sport plays an important role in inspiring young people and promoting positive values such as discipline, teamwork, and resilience.”
As part of the renewed sponsorship, Theodist will continue providing support through team jerseys, training equipment, and promotional assistance as the Marlins compete in the National Capital District rugby union competition.
MBB Marlins Head Coach Rawali Bokuik welcomed the extension of the partnership, acknowledging Theodist’s continued investment in the team.
“We are grateful to Theodist for standing with the Marlins over the past two seasons and continuing that support into another year.”
“Support from partners like Theodist helps our players focus on their performance while also allowing us to continue building a strong culture within the team and our rugby community.”
Theodist said it looks forward to building on the strong foundation established over the past two years, with the partnership continuing to promote sporting excellence and community engagement.
